Mode Of Delivery and Duration of the Part-Time Degree Programmes
The programmes are to be run on part-time basis. Courses will be taught through normal lectures and practical classes to be
conducted in the evenings and over the weekends at the Bayero University’s School of Continuing Education (SCE) situated on Aminu Kano Way, near Gwauron Dutse Hill within Kano City.

The programmes will not be run through Open and Distance Learning (ODL) mode.

Admission will only be done through Direct Entry (Level 200).

The duration of the programme is five years.

Admission Requirement for the Part-Time Degree Programmes
Applicants for admission into the
programmes must satisfy the following conditions:
1. Possess recognized Advanced Level qualifications in areas relevant to the programmes. Such qualifications include National Diploma (ND), Nigerian Certificate in Education (NCE), Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB) certificate - (with minimum of 6 points), Nursing
Certificate, and General Certificate of Education (GCE) ‘A’ Level;
2. Possess a minimum of three ‘O’ Level credits in relevant subjects, including English Language;
3. Must be at least 25 years old.
4. In addition, applicants for admission into BSc Accounting, BSc Business Administration, BSc Mathematics, and BSc
(Ed) Mathematics must also have credit in ‘O’ Level Mathematics; while candidates for B. Nursing Science must have credits in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
5. Candidates with only `O' leve qualifications will not be considered.

Employer, Position and Date of Appointment.
9. (Additional Info) Provide additional information, which include maximum of 3 researches and maximum of 3
publications.
10. (BUK Personalised Payment Form (BUKPPF)) Generate your BUK Personalised Payment Form (BUKPPF). The BUKPPF includes information need to make paymen through the Remita e-Payments platform. Refer to the Payment Procedure documentation for an in-depth look on the payment procedure.

FUTA Holds 2017/2018 Orientation Exercise For 3500 Newly Admitted Students

The Vice Chancellor, Federal University of Technology Akure, FUTA, Professor Joseph Fuwape, has charged newly admitted
students to uphold the strong academic culture the institution is known for.

The Vice Chancellor ,who was represented by Professor Olatunde Arayela,Deputy Vice Chancellor,Academic gave the charge during the orientation program organized for the 3500 fresh students admitted for the 2017/2018 academic session.

Professor Fuwape said “the university places premium on discipline, orderliness, focus, integrity, and diligence which are
hallmarks required for your success.

You must therefore be found worthy in character and learning at the end of your
studentship before you can be awarded a degree."

The Vice Chancellor said that FUTA is a specialized university with the mandate of advancing the cause of technology in Nigeria and its products are known for blazing the trail in various fields of
human endeavor.

He urged the students to abide by the rules
and regulations that govern student’s conduct and keep off activities that will not contribute positively to their future.

Fuwape said the university is committed to its vision of being one of the best universities in the world and encouraged the students to make good use of the various facilities and academic resources to ensure a successful academic sojourn.

In the same vein, the Dean, Student Affairs, Professor Gbenga Onibi enjoined the students to be law abiding, responsible and
diligent.

He said the onus of realizing their ambition lies solely on them and the efforts they put into their academic work.

“The choices you make today will therefore be very important because they will greatly impact your tomorrow ", Onibi said.

He assured the students that the university administration will ensure optimum provision of basic amenities and conducive
academic environment to enable them perform excellently throughout their duration of study.

The Dean admonished the students to act wisely and smartly and to organize themselves in sensible ways in order to
actualize the purpose of their university education.

In a goodwill message Dean of Post Graduate Studies (SPGS) and Chairman, Committee of Deans, Professor Moses Ajewole admonished the students to diligently follow the academic routes mapped out by departments, lecturers and other various organs of the university.

He reiterated the readiness of the university management to support the actualization of their academic pursuit.

Speaking on the topic: The emergence of the FUTA brand: Ethos, Core Values and Academic Excellence, Professor David
Oke, said FUTA has evolved from humble beginnings to become a global player, in partnership and cooperation with many great institutions around the world.

He urged the students to contribute their own quota to improve the university's ranking in the league of world class universities.

*Print out your data and go to ANY BANK not later than 5 WORKING DAYS to pay ACCOMMODATION FEE .
*Failure to pay within 5 working days, your booking will be cancelled and your room will be placed vacant.
*Go to any café to validate the RRR NUMBER by Uploading your Passport
*Upload your Passport and print two (2) copies of your allocation slip to know your Hostel Name, Bed-space and Room Number.
*Go to Student Affairs Directorate for documentation and take a copy of the
allocation slip to the hostel supervisor for check-in.

Fed Poly Idah 2017/2018 Registration Procedure For Newly Admitted Students

This is to inform all candidates offered provisional admission into The Federal Polytechnic, Idah that the management has released the registration procedure for 2017/2018 academic session.

These are the steps for the payment of the ACCEPTANCE and SCHOOL FEES for 2017/2018 Academic Session.

Admitted students are to pay the acceptance fee (N 5,000.00) by generating the Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR)
number from the polytechnic portal, www.fepoda.edu.ng and then proceed to any bank of your choice with the RRR
Number to make the payment.

Each student is expected to return the portal to Confirm the Payment after which he/she is allowed to print theA ADMISSION/ACCEPTANCE LETTERS and FINANCIAL GUIDE .

The student now PAY SCHOOL FEE as stated in the FINANCIAL GUIDE by generating the Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) number and taking to the bank of his/her choice for payment.

Upon completing the payment in the
bank, they are to return to the portal to Confirm the Payment and print Acknowledgement Slip .

With admission letter printed, the student is required to go to admissions office to
commence the registration proper with original copies of credentials/certificates and evidence of payment of fees.

After this, a clearance slip will be generated for the departmental registration.

Upon completing the departmental registration,return to the portal to Register
and Print Course form before proceeding for the final submission of files at the
admission office.

NOTE: All NDI students are required to obtain and complete the school form at the rate of #5,500.00 through the same
school portal before he/she is allowed to Register Courses for the Semester.

IAUE Qualification/Registration For Re- Run Student's - 2017/2018 Session

The University Senate has been inundated with numerous complaints by students who were not able to graduate at a record time due to carryover of failed courses.

Consequently, Senate at its meeting of April
12 , 2017 approved the following guidelines
for re-run students to enable them complete their programme.

1. The window is opened only for students
admitted by Ignatius Ajuru University of
Education from 2009/2010 to 2014/2015
session.

a. Must be registered students with Ignatius
Ajuru University of Education matriculation number.
b. Must show proof of payment of all fees for the sessions while he/she was in the
University.
c. Must not have been expelled, rusticated or withdrawn for academic failure or any other causes from the University.
d. Did not graduate at the end of a four (4)
years programme. In effect the student must have entered the prescribed examinations at the final year, but could not graduate.

2. DURATION OF THE PROGRAMME
The programme is to run for a full session of two semesters. This is to enable the students to remedy their failed or unregistered courses.
It will also enable them participate in class
activities in order not to compromise quality.

3. NUMBER OF UNIT
Each student must register and pass the failed and or not yet-taken course(s) in line with extant University graduation requirements.

However, no students shall be allowed to
register for more than the prescribed
maximum of 48 units per session as required by the University academic guidelines.

4. COLLECTION OF FORMS
All prospective re-run students are to collect the prescribed forms from the Academic Office on the payment of five thousand naira only (N 5,000) payable through ICT.

5. FEES
In addition to the payment of all outstanding fees as in item (b) aforementioned, each student is expected to pay the prescribed fees for 2017/2018 session.

IAUE Important Notice To All 2016/2017 School Fee's Defaulter

The University Senate has directed that all
students who failed, refused or neglected to
pay their school fees for the 2016/2017
academic session shall repeat the session.

All examinations written by such students
during the session stand nullified. Also any
computed results for such students are taken to be in error and should be disregarded.

Finally, the affected students are advised to
pay fees and register for the current session, as repeat students of the 2016/2017 session.

By this notice, the ICT Unit is being directed to open the University Portal only for payment of fees for the 2017/2018 session.

No student should be allowed to pay fees for the 2016/2017 session.

All Deans and Heads of Department are
advised to ensure strict compliance.
